Why I Created the Winterize Your Skin Event

January! A beautiful month to reset. It invites reflection, fresh goals, and a renewed sense of possibility for the year ahead. At the same time, winter places real demands on our skin. Every year, I see women struggle through it. That is exactly why I created the Winterize Your Skin event: to bring clarity, simplicity, and encouragement during a season that can feel harsh on the body.

If you’ve been with me for a while, you know I believe in total-body skin care, not just focusing on the face. Our skin is our largest organ, yet winter routines often overlook everything below the neck. The Winterize Your Skin event was created to gently shift that mindset and bring care back to the whole body. Without overwhelm.

Let’s break it down.

Face

During the winter months, facial skin can begin to feel dull, tight, or irritated. Cold air, indoor heat, and low humidity all contribute to this seasonal stress. Winter calls for extra gentleness. But that doesn’t mean complicated routines.

I don’t subscribe to using 10+ products at once. I simply don’t have the time or desire. Our skin can only absorb so much. Intentional choices matter far more than excess. When we winterize our skin, we focus on nourishing, protecting, and supporting the skin barrier with consistency.

This kind of thoughtful care is exactly what I teach inside the Winterize Your Skin event. The simple, effective habits that fit real life.

Body

Itchy skin is uncomfortable, and no one should live with it. Skin so dry you could write your name with your fingernails is your body asking for help.

Head-to-toe moisturization is essential during winter. Caring for the skin on your arms, legs, and torso supports comfort, confidence, and long-term skin health. The Winterize Your Skin event exists because so many women assume discomfort is “just part of winter.” It doesn’t have to be.

Human Paws (Hands & Feet)

Hands and feet often take the biggest hit during colder months.

Years ago, every January, my hands became so dry they looked burned. They cracked. They bled. They hurt. And honestly, they embarrassed me. Learning how to properly care for my hands changed everything, and I’m grateful I made that shift.

Feet deserve the same attention. Dry, rough, and scaly skin doesn’t have to be the norm. Experiences like these are why I’m passionate about teaching practical skin care that truly improves quality of life.

All Is Not Lost

As frustrating winter skin can feel, there is hope. The Winterize Your Skin event was created to remove confusion and replace it with confidence. Together, we’ll talk through realistic ways to care for your face, body, hands, and feet during the cold, dry months. Winter can become a season of rest and reflection, not discomfort.

Every season offers an opportunity to age well. Winter, in particular, invites us to slow down and care for ourselves with intention.

In the meantime, I invite you to spend time in the Winter Hub. It is a calm, cozy space filled with seasonal skin care tips, gentle wellness reminders, and encouragement to care for yourself well this winter.
