One of the most common questions I hear from new clients is, “How long will my skincare set last?” It’s a great question—because understanding that helps you plan ahead, avoid surprise empty bottles, and stay consistent with your routine (which is key to aging well!).
Let’s Talk Real Life Use
If you’re using a complete skincare system as I prescribe both morning and night—cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen (day time only)—you can expect your set to last about 2 to 3 months. That’s with regular, twice-daily use and using the right amount.
Here’s a generalized breakdown:
- Cleanser & Toner: Around 12 weeks
- Serum: About 4–6 weeks (serums go fast because they’re concentrated)
- Moisturizer: 2–3 months
- Sunscreen: Often 12 weeks if applied generously (and I hope you are!) Let’s reduce your chances of skin cancer!
Keep in mind: how long skincare lasts depends on how consistent you are—and whether or not you’re sharing your set with a family member. Sometimes, they are “sharing” without your knowledge. I’ve heard those stories of husbands and teens using the products, too.
But, I also know when my clients are not using the products consistently. When reorders come in every 6 months, I know that there are many they are going without using the routine. And, most likely, they are not using the products twice a day. The results only come about when we are consistent. Daily. Twice a day. And extend the products beyond your face. The throat and décolletage should also be treated with all the skincare products.
Because every product has its own timeline, once you make your initial investment in a skincare set, rarely do you need to replace it in its entirety.
Tips to Stretch Every Drop
A little goes a long way when your products are high quality—like the Royal Jelly formulas I use and recommend. Our skincare that doesn’t contain the royal ingredient is fabulous, as well. Here’s how to get the most out of your set:
- Use a pea-sized amount of serum for your face. But add a bit more for your neck and chest.
- A nickel-sized dollop of cleanser is plenty. Double cleansing in the evening is important. I use two different types of cleansers at night. The first is to remove sunscreen, oil, and makeup. My favorite for this is the Cleansing Balm. Then I follow up with a Royal Jelly product.
- Remember to always apply the products to your face, neck, and décolleté. I also apply the products to the back of my hand. They can show signs of aging, too, if we don’t treat them.
Never Run Out Again
If you’ve ever hit the bottom of your serum bottle and thought, “Oh no!”—let’s fix that. Never wait until you’re running completely low before reordering. There’s usually a 5 – 8 day process from ordering to delivery. Another option is the SET-IT-AND-FORGET-IT method. Individual skincare products (and all other Jafra products) can be purchased with a subscription plan. You select whether you want delivery every 30, 60, or 90 days. Again, not all products are consumed equally. The subscription is a great way to save time, money, and a constant supply delivered to your doorstep.
Quick Recap: A full-size skincare set typically lasts 2–3 months with consistent use. Knowing that makes it easier to plan your next reorder and stay on track with your skincare goals.
