My Flu Survival Guide

First, I must tell you that I have NEVER worked in the medical profession. The suggestions here are only MY personal experiences and I do not make any claims of prevention or healing. With that said, let me share with you what I do to survive the flu season, September through May.

Be sure to keep your hands clean. Think about everything you touch on a regular basis: ATM machines, shopping carts, gas nozzle, public doors, and so much more. Keeping wipes and/or hand sanitizer in your car is a great idea for a quick cleanse. Once you return home, get rid of the germs by vigorously washing your hands with soap. To keep your hands youthful, follow-up with a hand cream of your choice. With COVID 19, I have taken the extra precaution of showering when I return home after an extended time away. I even cleanse underneath the surface by exfoliating with the Ginger and Sea Salt Body Rub. I always moisturize after showering and we have many from which to choose, but my daily go-to is Royal Almond.

Protect everyone in the home by sanitizing fixtures that are touched often. This would include light fixtures, door knobs, kitchen and bathroom cabinet knobs, remote controls, and whatever else your family handles. I use a spray bottle containing On-Guard cleanser and water. Use this product also, to keep your home clean. I diffuse On-Guard oil so that it’s continuously in our lungs and pores.

Stay hydrated. Fresh ginger and lemon tea with honey is a yummy choice. I also like to make my sunshine “tea”. This is made with a drop of On-Guard and lemon oil in a cup of warm water and a teaspoon of honey. It’s delicious and boosts the immune system. Sucking on the throat drops also helps my family to stay healthy.

Rest is always important. Be sure to get plenty. If you aren’t sick, you don’t need extra sleep, but keep things low-key. When I need to relax, I use the Lavender and Chamomile cologne. If any of us become congested, I have to products I reach for, my Spa Massage & Scalp Treatment or my Breathe essential oil.

Because of these practices I have adapted over the past few years, we are rarely sick. If we do catch a cold, it’s so mild and recovery time is very quick. Again, I do not make any medical claims for any of these products, but it’s what I do to keep my family healthy. It’s our flu survival guide, but I hope it helps your family, also.
