How to Beat Acne

One of the most frustrating skin concerns is acne. Ugh! And do not think that this is something only teenagers experience. Twenty-five percent of women are troubled by this condition. If you or someone you know is contending with acne, please read on to see how to beat acne and achieve clear skin.

What is Acne?

First, we need to know what acne is. Acne occurs when dead skin cells mixed with excess oil clog the pores, trapping oil and bacteria inside. The cycle begins inside the skin’s pores weeks before you see the breakout on the face. The growth of bacteria causes inflammation and a nodule appears on the surface of the skin.

There are two types of acne. The first is the non-inflammatory blackheads and whiteheads. The second is the inflammatory nodules and cysts. This second group of acne (nodules and cysts) can be painful to the touch. Because of the inflammation, it is usually red in appearance.

Who Gets Acne

Approximately 85% of adolescents experience acne. The main causes are hormones and genetics. Some adults also have acne breakouts. The most common time for adult women to have an acne episode is during the menstrual cycle when the hormones can become unbalanced. That was me. Therefore, I was on a journey for a solution many years ago. A great remedy, I discovered, is using my retinol product.

Adults may have noticed more acne activity during the COVID pandemic while wearing a mask. During this time, a new phenomenon was born. MASKNE.

Controlling Acne

As stated earlier, the main causes of acne are hormones and genetics. While there is little we can do about those natural causes, there are factors that we can control.

  • Do not use cosmetics (both skincare and makeup) with a greasy consistency or created with mineral oil.
  • If you wear hats and caps, be sure to cleanse the rim regularly. The dirt, sweat, and oil on the rim creates acne along the hairline. This is common for individuals who play sports.
  • Be cautious of your long hair. If you tend to wear hair gels, hair sprays, etc, you may want to keep your hair off your face. With that said, keep your pillowcase as clean as possible. The oils from your hair affects that, too.
  • Speaking of pillowcases, be sure to get plenty of sleep. Lack of sleep can cause acne. Remember, your body renews and heals itself while you slumber. So, yes, there is truth in beauty rest.
  • Clean your phones often. That can definitely be a culprit on the cheeks.
  • Constantly touching your face, leaning on your hands, etc are factors. Our hands have natural oils or may not be as clean as you realize.
  • Stress. It is amazing all the ailments that stress can cause. Please be sure to manage it.
  • Exercise and hydration are important for maintaining healthy skin. Include lots of fruits and vegetables.
  • Picking and squeezing blemishes spread bacteria and increases inflammation.
  • Above all, maintaining a quality skin care routine can reduce acne breakouts.

How to Beat Acne

First and foremost, for severe acne, consult with a dermatologist. Otherwise, it would be my pleasure to help you outwit troublesome acne with the 4-step Royal Clear Smart skincare ritual. The first ingredient is Royal Jelly, which will heal acne scarring. After 4 weeks, independent consumer testers noticed clearer skin. This regimen fights excess oil; clears pores; balances microbiome; reduces breakouts; and calms while hydrating the skin. All of the acne skin concerns are addressed: blackheads, whiteheads, blemishes, blocked and enlarged pores, excess oil, acne-causing bacteria, and future breakouts.

The Products

The Clear Smart is a daily 4-step regimen. Unquestionably, this product line delivers results, but only with consistent day and night usage.

First, cleanse and tone. The Clarifying Cleansing Foam eliminates excess oil with its low pH, exfoliating formula. Follow up with the Clear Complexion Toner which sweeps away pore-clogging debris and excess oil. This 3-in-1 toner unclogs pores and fights bacteria. Remember that clogged pores and bacteria are what causes acne in the first place. Clear Smart goes to battle for you.

Your second step is to smooth the skin and reduce blemishes with the invisible gel of the Blemish Spot Treatment. The product also hydrates the skin with vitamins to support a moisture barrier.

Speaking of moisture, the Clear Smart Hydrator is an oil-free and anti-blemish product that combats excess oil while delivering essential moisture.

While these first few products are to be used day and night, the final step in the routine is for daytime use only. Protecting yourself from the sun is essential to keeping a youthful appearance as well as reducing the chances of skin cancer. Therefore, the Shine Control Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 25 is a necessity.

Well, not quite the final step. For best results of controlling acne, be sure to remove debris and dead skin at least two times per week with the Charcoal Blackhead Scrub. This ultra-fine exfoliating polish is gentle enough to use even during an acne breakout.

If age-reversal or other skin concerns are important to you, then opting for our Defy or Revitalize premium skincare lines may be of interest to you. Just add the Blemish Spot Treatment and Charcoal Blackhead Scrub. Or ask me how to receive a free full-size Volcanic Micro-Polish Mask.
